The company initially provided repair services to aircraft operators with deteriorated fuel tanks. In 1998, the company was purchased by Simon Whitehead and Helen Naylor, and re-located to Coolangatta Airport on the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. Since then, we have expanded our sales and maintenance capabilities to include helicopter floatation systems, aeroplane fixed floats, hydrostatic testing and manufacturing and maintenance of aviationautomotive and marine fuel cells.  The company also specialised in support of military, rescue, fire fighting and police operators. It was not long before we outgrew our Coolangatta facility so in 2003 AFC relocated again to a new purpose built  workshop and warehouse facilities built in Molendinar (central Gold Coast) to accommodate increased workload.

Over the last decade, AFC has developed close working relationships and repair station status with all the major manufactures such as Amfuel, Meggitt (formally EFC), FPT, Apical & Dart Aerospace, which gives us timely access to technical data and repair materials and parts.

AFC is one of only 3 Dart Aerospace Approved Service Centres and is the only Approved Service Centre in the Southern Hemisphere making us the obvious choice for any operators located in the Oceania region.

AFC is the only fuel cell manufacturer in the southern hemisphere to have F.I A. Approval for the manufacture of race car fuel cells.
